„The older I get the more I go back to my artistic preferences as illustrator. My favorite artists are Albrecht Dürer, Peter Bruegel the Elder, and Rogier van der Weyden. My favorites from more modern periods in art history are Egon Schiele, Vincent van Gogh… I could make this list even longer, but Bruegel‘s „The Hunters in the Snow“is, in my opinion, the apex of all of art history. Why? Because for me, precise observation of the time flow as well as time‘s influence on the world is the main feature of artistic creation!“
